So, die ganze Plattensammlung auf links gedreht, einige Werke noch mal gewissenhaft durchgehört, abgewägt, was ist gut gealtert, und was eher nicht so, hat mir in den 90ern aber dennoch viel Freude bereitet. Welche Alben haben eine Karriere begründet und welche sogar ein ganzes Genre? Aerosmith, Björk und Jamiroquai überraschend eindeutig draußen, viele in Vergessenheit geratene Schätze drin. Mehrfachplatzierungen für Andreas Dorau und Radiohead, aber auch Sly & Robbie haben sich zweimal in meiner Liste versteckt, und das denkbar hoch. Teil der Liste sind auch drei Live-Alben, ein Soundtrack und ein Weihnachtsalbum (nein, nicht Mariah). Etwa ein Drittel der Alben sind Debüt-Alben, und in einigen Fällen sollte es das einzige bleiben - bei korrekter Zählweise sind es sogar 34 Erstlinge, wobei Annie Lennox und Mark Wahlberg zugegebenermaßen bereits einschlägige Berufserfahrung hatten und Jimmy Page und Robert Plant bereits in den 70ern miteinander musiziert haben. Über Platz 1 in meiner Liste war ich übrigens selbst ein wenig erstaunt, und ich vermute, wenn ich mich in 10 Jahren erneut an diese Liste setzen würde, wäre die Reihenfolge eine komplett andere. Und weil es undeutsch ist, die besten Alben der 90er zu küren, heißt diese supercalifragilisticexpialigetische Liste jetzt

dafür, dass ich die 90er immer so hoch halte, kommt bemerkenswert wenig ausbeute zusammen. mag aber auch daran liegen, dass ich mich sehr auf einzelne künstler eingeschossen hatte, die für mich größtenteils auch heute noch sehr wichtig sind.
