So nun also endlich einmal das Beatles - Werk ab "Rubber Soul" komplettiert. Ob das eine gute Idee war, weiß ich nicht, denn allein der Name "Phil Spector" hat mich immer abgeschreckt. Voraustasten: ich hasse den Titelsong schon immer so sehr, wie ich "Across The Universe" liebe. "Get Back" geht natürlich immer, "The Long And Winding Road" hab ich dagegen selten gepackt ohne skippen/vorspulen. Schauen wir mal.

Hör Dir „Let it be… naked“ an, also die de-spectorisierte Version. Da wird wird selbst „The long and winding road“ zu einer völlig akzeptablen Ballade. Es ist wirklich erstaunlich, was für ein wunderbar warmer blues- und soulangehauchter Sound sich unter dem Geigenschmalz verborgen hat.
